Implementation Engineering (IE) *
Based upon the finalized and approved
Network Design, Implementation Engineering Group (IE -Group)
of SANTEC
Communications assigned to the Customer’s Project
during the entire implementation process will work closely
with the Customer’s Account Team and Project Manager, to fulfill
the following tasks:
a. Create the Customer’s Premise
Equipment (CPE) configuration source files for all
Hub Sites and Remote Sites. This entails writing the actual
CPE configuration file including all listed required parameters
and settings.
b. Perform CPE configuration source file
testing procedure prior to uploading.
c. Create “As Built” Network Documentation
Package (NDP).
d. Issue Engineering Order Document (EOD).
EOD will specify:
i. Site Code.
ii. CPE Configuration of HW & SW. Equipment
Configuration for Hub Sites and Remote Sites, like:
a. Routers
b. Switches
c. Software Version of IOS
d. Cables; Standard and Custom cable assemblies
e. Wireless equipment, like:
i. Wireless Routers
ii. Wireless Bridges
iii. Access Points
iv. Other Wireless Devices
f. Modems and
Cables
g. Additional equipment
iii. CPE logical Connectivity
and associated drawings.
iv. Logical IP Addressing.
v. All GNO required information.
vi. All pertinent technical information
and directions for the Project Manager to perform Field
Installation (FI) of Hub Sites and Remote Sites.
e. Issue Purchase Requisitions
(PR) document for Hub Sites and Remote Sites.
f. Submit the Purchase Requisitions (PR)
document to the Customer and Account Team for approval.
g. Issue Work Orders for Staging, Pre-configuration,
and Testing of managed CPE devices prior to shipping to the
sites.
h. Perform and Manage the Staging, Pre-configuration,
and Testing of all managed CPE devices prior to shipping to
the sites.
i. Issue Qualification Document for managed
CPE devices prior to shipping to the sites.
j. Provide 3rd and 4th level engineering support
for the Customer’s Project Manager and Account Team during
the entire project.
