Project Management (PM)*
The Project Management Team of SANTEC
Communications , assigned for the entire project,
will design a thoughtful, conscientious, and comprehensive
Project Plan (PP) and Project Timeline (PT). The Project Management
Team of SANTEC
Communications will perform the following:
a. Generate the Project Requirement
Plan (PRP), which will provide bundled managed services
for Hub Sites and all Remote Sites.
b. Schedule the staging, pre-configuration, and testing
of the equipment, including local dial-up testing
for CPE, prior to shipping.
c. Schedule shipping of the equipment, including
associated cables, to SANTEC Communications facility, for
staging and pre-configuration.
d. Schedule Staging, Pre-configuration, and Testing
of managed CPE devices prior to shipping to the sites. Issue
work order.
e. Schedule the shipping of the CPE to Hub
Sites and Remote Sites.
f. Obtain all logical network information
for Hub Sites and Remote Sites installation prior to shipping.
Network information logical requirements will include but
not be limited to:
i. LAN and WAN IP addresses
and sub-net mask.
ii. Circuit delivery schedule.
iii. DLCI numbers for Frame Relay Circuits.
iv. Network addresses and default gateways.
g. Issue Shipping Document (SD).
h. Schedule Site Installations and Activation.
i. Ship CPE to the pre-scheduled Sites, and
send tracking information to the Sites.
j. Manage all Site Installations / Activations
with the Field Engineering Team.
k. Create Transfer Document (TD) for the
transition of the network over to the GNO and Account Team.
TD will include the following:
i. Scheduled and Managed
Site Installations and Activation Inventory list of existing
equipment per Site.
ii. Copy of the logical router (s) configuration
(s): show run, show configuration.
iii. Circuit ID number (s).
iv. Site address and contact (s).
v. Other pertinent information required
by the Customer and Account Team.
i. Obtain final sign-off for each
Site.
Note:
The Project Manager, assigned for the project, will be responsible
for accurate CPE shipping to all Hub and Remote Sites for
all domestic and/or international sites.
