Staging & Pre-Configurations *
1. Applications Equipment Determination
- Staging:
a. Determine detailed equipment
and cable specifications for the customized non-standard solutions:
i. Verify vendor model
part and model numbers.
ii. Issue Purchase Requisition for the
Equipment and Associated cabling.
iii. Hardware Staging & Configuration
- Rack Installation
iv. Software Pre-Configuration
v. Equipment Conversion for In Country
Staging & Configuration, including:
vi. Power Strip Configuration and/or International
in Country usage
vii. Out of band Management Modems
b. Testing of the Equipment
before Shipping - show Diagnostic
c. Preparation/Assembly-Documentation-Issue
Shipping Document
d. Produce testing overview/plans to pre-qualify
the equipment for integration before shipment.
e. Produce custom assembly instructions and
documentation for each site to be assembled/fabricated at
a staging facility including the following:
i. Equipment List.
ii. Cable List.
iii. Rack Elevations (if required).
iv. Block and Level diagrams Drawings (if
required).Cable Interconnectivity Drawing.
v. Staging Test Overview.
vi. High quality granular Check List.
vii. Design Database Creation.
viii. Issue shipping document for router,
modem and associated cables.
2. Staging, Pre-Configure, Local dial-up
and testing prior to shipping:
a. Staging, Pre-Configure &
Local dial-up: Router, Switches, UPS’s, Cabling and
Management Modem.
b. Testing of Routers, Switches, Management
Modems and Associated Cables prior to Shipping.
